Title: LOCAL RELATIONAL STRING FOR TEXTURES CLASSIFICATION

Abstract: Local information provides a useful and efficient means for analyzing texture. The classification performance depends on how this information is characterized. In this paper we propose a novel method based on relative relations to locally describe region in the image. This method presents many advantages: low complexity, illumination invariance and powerful discriminative properties. Using a set of classifications we show that the proposed technique improves significantly the capability of texture recognition and out performs classical methods.
