Title: FILTER DESIGN FOR ADAPTIVE FREQUENCY-DOMAIN BAYER DEMOSAICKING

Abstract: This paper addresses filter design for the adaptive frequency-domain Bayer demosaicking algorithm. Both frequency-domain design and a least-squares design are considered. The effect of filter order on the reconstruction error is studied. A least-squares design method taking into account the characteristics of the adaptive frequency-domain algorithm is shown to lead to better demosaicking results than other published methods with lower complexity than the previous version of the adaptive frequency-domain algorithm.
